National Gallery
It holds more than 8000 works which makes this gallery largest public collection of modern art in Southeast Asia. It’s spread across two beautiful national monuments – City Hall and the country’s former Supreme Court.
Singapore Botanic Gardens
The Botanic garden in carved into four main cores. The Tanglin core is the oldest and first one that visitors see as the pass through historic Tnglin gate. The Tyersal-Gallop core is integrated into existing rainforest and Bukit Timah core is where children’s garden are including treehouses, bridges and farm. Whilst the main tourist core is Central where you will find more than 1000 orchids species and 2000 hybrids.
Night Safari
It’s the world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals and wildly popular one. It holds 2500 animals from 130 species, attention – more than a third of which are endangered. The tour itself takes approximately 40 minutes and covers seven themed geographic areas, guests ride around the park on guided trams. You may also observe live tiger feeding on the weekends.
Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
For those of you who are fan of sport especially hiking, less than eight miles away from the city you will find 403-acre reserve named Bukit Timah, Singapore’s highest hill. 40 percent of fauna and flora here is native to Malaya and rich on tropical foliage. Depending of your hiking skills you can choose for routes – two easy, one moderate and one difficult. There is also a designated mountain biking trail with some challenging sections.
Jurong Bird Park
This is the largest bird park in Asia, housing more than 5000 fowlin a 50-acre green space, 400 species are represented here, 15 oercent of which are endangered. This glorious landscaped park comprises four large aviaries, one of those aviaries is home to the world’s tallest man-made waterfall.
