The designer collaborated with an old friend and fan of the brand to create an ultimate survivor’s timepiece. Iconic actor & director Sylvester Stallone has been an artist for a long time, whose paintings were exhibited at the Nice Museum of Modern Art. Being a connoisseur and collector of fine and modern art and luxury watches, Sylvester Stallone eagerly participated in the creation of a timepiece designed for extreme conditions.
RM 25-01 is a watch that comes in a limited edition of 20 pieces. The product has a 24-hour display with a manual winding tourbillon movement, chronograph function, power reserve, torque and function indicators and water purifying pills. Richard Mille engineers spent several months of research to lower energy consumption, reduce inertia and optimize the calibre. RM 25-01 is water resistant (to 100 metres) because of the nature of its design. The case is made of carbon TPT that is assembled with spline titanium screws and abrasion-resistant stainless steel washers and is protected by two nitrile o-ring seals.
The watch comes with a camouflage rubber strap and two interchangeable bezels. The bidirectional bezel can be swapped for the carbon TPT and titanium made compass bezel that is equipped with a bayonet mount and a mirror to improve the accuracy of the reading. The hidden compartment of RM 25-01 holds five water purifying capsules that can clean one litre of water in 30-120 minutes, depending on the level of pollution.
